Tomorrow, December 8, at 2:30 pm, CENTERSTAGE will be streaming live from London via the web a presentation of Ovalhouse Theatre's production of I Stand Corrected by Mojisola Adebayo and Mamela Nyamza. This adventurous new play has gotten rave reviews, and Artistic Director Kwame Kwei-Armah OBE is excited to share the production with Baltimore audiences.
Between My America and a new Media Wall, CENTERSTAGE has been working hard this season to expand its digital offerings, to meet Kwame’s goal of connecting audiences with performances, ideas, and conversations they may not have seen otherwis e. We're terming these digital initiatives our "Fourth Space,” and Kwame found this the perfect opportunity to share.
An eerie murder mystery where a queer wedding might have been, I Stand Corrected is a supernatural story of two black lesbian lovers from two different continents, trying to touch each other across a mortal divide. A new collaboration between the creator of sell-out Ovalhouse shows Moj of the Antarctic and Muhammad Ali and Me, Mojisola Adebayo and South African dancer Mamela Nyamza.
The live-stream will take place tomorrow, December 8 at 2:30 pm in the CENTERSTAGE Deering Lobby. Admission is FREE.
