The Community Programs and Education Department at CENTERSTAGE announces the return and expansion of their annual Summer Camp-a summer theater-based program for youngsters in grades one through 12.

Since 2007, CENTERSTAGE has provided Baltimore youth in grades six through 12 with an engaging and educational way to beat the heat. The program is now expanding to include grades one through five. Continuing last year's theme, The Art of Play, CENTERSTAGE's Summer Camp will focus on learning comedic techniques such as improvisation, clowning, stand-up, and theatrical play. Students will build self-confidence and self-awareness, experience personal freedom, and practice trust and creative expression.

Each session is $500 per student and lasts from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, for two weeks. For students and parents seeking financial aid, full and partial scholarships may be available. The last day of each session includes a student devised pubic performance at CENTERSTAGE.

Session 1: June 27th to July 8th (Grades 1 through 6)

Session 2: July 11th to July 22nd (Grades 1 through 6)

Session 3: July 25th to August 5th (Grades 7 through 12)
