CCBC Announces May Programming

The Music program in the Performing Arts and Humanities department at the Community College of Baltimore County will host several free programs during May 2011. These events are free and open to the public. No reservations are needed.

Featuring solo selections from Classical to Broadway, and scenes from Broadway Musicals, and selections featuring the CCBC Catonsville Chorus.

Friday, May 6 CCBC Chamber Singers
Under the direction of Monica Otal, the CCBC Chamber Singers will perform excerpts from Faure's Requiem (which they will perform at Carnegie Hall on May 28) and lighter fare.

Friday, May 13 Honors Recital
Specially selected music students will perform and be honored, along with faculty members, at this festive final Music Forum of the spring session.

An Evening of Big Band Jazz

8 p.m.

B Building Theatre

Ashton Fletcher leads the Powerhouse Ensemble in selections from the swing era to modern big band jazz.

These musical programs are free and open to the public. No reservations are needed.
