Call Me Penelope by Kerra Holtgren and Paul Weinberg- Prepare yourself for a night of Jazz, Laughs, and Pleasant Livin'. Please join the Strand for the last installment of new works by Baltimore's own Friends and Neighbors

The Strand Theater invites you to the last performance of the inaugural Friends and Neighbors Festival. "The Festival has been a great experience," elates Artistic Director Jayme Kilburn, "all the artists were amazing and performed with great enthusiasm. I'm sad to see it nearly over! It's been a great success." The Festival ends on a high note (literally) with Call Me Penelope: the story of an aging songstress. This fast paced romp down memory lane is written and performed by local Baltimore actress, Kerra Holtgren. Kerra was recently seen in Smolder at the Strand Theater.

Ahh, The Land of Pleasant Livin'! Penelope Quesenberry-Stalters-Higginbotham-Horwitz brings you Call Me Penelope, her Raging Comeback Special "broadcasted" LIVE from The Strand Theater in Baltimore! Some of you may not remember this lusty jazz diva, as she has been out of the spotlight for quite some time now, but you should never underestimate her thirst to get back on top of the bottom! (And, oh boy is she thirsty!) Call Me Penelope features some of her greatest hit song-and-dance numbers, as well as an intimate portrayal of her former starlet self (before she became a full-blown alcoholic). Fans and beer lovers alike, prepare yourselves for a night of Jazz, Laughs and Pleasant Livin' in this exciting musical extravaganza! Please, just call her Penelope.
