After being nominated for 7 MD Theatre Guide Reader's Choice Awards for their production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, The BTCT presents the Tony Award winning musical comedy, Monty Python's SPAMALOT, on August 18th, 20th, and 21st at 7:00 pm, and a matinee performances on August 17th at 2:00 pm. All performances will take place in the Mintzes Theatre at the H. Morton Rosen Arts Center, located at Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School at 3300 Old Court Road in Pikesville, Maryland.
Come laugh 'til you cry at the musical "lovingly ripped off" from the internationally-renowned comedy team's hit film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail! SPAMALOT features extraordinary local talent, a chorus line of dancing divas and knights, flatulent Frenchmen, a killer rabbit and more madcap mirth than a headless knight. Don't miss the show that critics claim raises silliness to a new art form!
The production features Paul Margolis, the lead singer of The Stone Hill All-Stars, as King Arthur, and Sarah Miller, local music director and choreographer, as the Lady of the Lake. Award-winning director Diane Smith orchestrates the uproarious, medieval journey. Audiences ages 13 and older will absolutely love the crazy, goofy humor of Monty Python's SPAMALOT.
Nominated for 14 Tony Awards and winner of seven, including Best Musical, Monty Python's SPAMALOT has kept audiences laughing for nearly a decade. Music by John Du Prez, Eric Idle, and Neil Innes. Book and Lyrics by Eric Idle.
