Baltimore's Mayor and More Celebrate Ribbon Cutting at Everyman Theatre's New Building Today

Everyman Theatre will officially open its new theatre on Fayette Street with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10 AM today, January 14, 2013.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is scheduled to take place outside of the new theatre at 315 West Fayette Street. The Ceremony will include special remarks and speeches from Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, local dignitaries, board leadership, and the Founding Artistic Director, Vincent Lancisi. Immediately following the ceremony, guests will be welcome to tour the brand new facility from 11 AM to 12 Noon.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony kicks off a weeklong Grand Opening celebration. Special events, ceremonies and galas are planned throughout the week to commemorate the historic occasion for the 22-year old theatre company.

The Grand Opening Week will feature the theatre company's inaugural production in its new home, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning drama, August: Osage County. Renowned actress Linda Thorson, well known for her role in the television show The Avengers and over 40 years of experience on the New York and London stage, will join Everyman Theatre Resident Company Members Clinton Brandhagen, Deborah Hazlett, Beth Hylton, Wil Love, Bruce Randolph Nelson and Carl Schurr in the Baltimore premiere.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is free and open to the public. All are encouraged to attend this historic occasion.
