Baltimore Shakespeare Festival is seeking a part-time Coordinator and Teaching Artist for its educational outreach initiatives. Looking for someone who will have the ambition, vision, and drive to help grow the Education Department. Position reports to the Producing Artistic Director.  Position is for approximately 15 hours a week.

Responsibilities include:

* Act as liaison between teachers, administrators and teaching artists to coordinate in-school visits and Student Matinees
* Serve as one of the Teaching Artists in the Festival¹s educational programs ­ be comfortable in the classroom as well as the office
* Coordinate BSFs Teen Performance Program
* Draft and maintain yearly project budget(s)
* Assist Marketing and Development Director in preparing, submitting and following up on all project grant proposals and end of year reports
* Maintain project calendar

Qualifications and Skills:

* Bachelors Degree or higher, Arts and/or Theater Education degree a plus
* Experience and/or training as a Teaching Artist a must
* Notable interest in Shakespeare & literature a big plus
* Superb editing & writing skills
* Strong computer skills: Excel and Word required;
* Professional with great attitude, phone skills and strong work ethic
* Background in arts-in-education/educational outreach

* Experience in development/fundraising a plus
