In celebration of its 30th Season, the Baltimore Playwrights Festival (www.baltplayfest.com) announces the August 4th opening of Unraveled in the Gravel, a musical by Kevin Kostic, at the Audrey Herman Spotlighters Theater, 817 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, 21202. Directed by Michael Tan and with book, music and lyrics by the playwright, Unraveled in the Gravel navigates the haunted relationship between a compulsive hitchhiker and his overly devoted girlfriend. Dark, funny and daring, this original musical explores how hard it can be to outrun your past, and is the first full-length musical to be produced as a part of the Baltimore Playwrights Festival in the past twenty years.
Kevin Kostic is a resident of Baltimore and an active member of the Baltimore Playwrights Group. His past produced plays include: One out of Five, The Coaching Session, The Scofield Coda: a new musical, and The Line in the Sand: Stories from the US/Mexico Border (co-author/CRS production).
The Baltimore Playwrights Festival is celebrating its 30th season, and has presented 266 scripts by 158 playwrights, produced by 25 different companies, over the past 29 Years.
