Character Breakdown -

Patsy: Female; Voice Range: E3 - F#5
40s: Somewhat mousey, neurotic, and obsessively superstitious,
yet underneath her anxious exterior lies a rock star who can let it rip!

Vern: Female; Voice Range: E3 - D5
40s: Matriarch of the group. Funny, robust, stubborn
and crusty, but with a good heart buried under her gruff exterior.

Honey: Female; Voice Range: E3 - F5
40s: Leggy, beautiful, but a little past her prime.
She's an extremely loveable sex kitten if not the brightest of bulbs.

Minnie: Female: Voice Range D3 - C#5 (with possible sustained A5 belt at the end of #19 - if she has it in her voice)
60s: Friendly bingo hall manager - she's everyone's favorite, cute, cuddly grandma.
Although this woman could be the oldest in the group, she's still spry and quick on her
feet. She must be extremely comfortable interacting and improvising with the audience and have a good, warm energy.

Sam: Male: age 35-45 years Voice Range C3 - F#4 (definite tenor or very high baritone)
40s: Sam is the Bingo caller - tall, rugged, and handsome. He loves his job and takes his calling very
seriously - the only thing that can distract him is Honey - the woman of his dreams.
In flashbacks, He doubles as FRANK - a Bingo employee.

Bernice Boodalay: Female: E3 - F#5
40s: Super mom, genuinely sweet and cheerful. She's the peacemaker and pie baker, and spreads
sunshine wherever she goes. Maybe a little bit passive aggressive with her friends.

Alison Boodalay: Female E3 - G5 (must have the high G in her voice for the finale)
20s: Bernice's daughter - fresh faced, comedic, driven, passionate, optimistic, perky and quirky.
She is a young character woman in an ingénue's body.

The Spotlighters Theatre is located at 817 Saint Paul Street - Baltimore, MD.
