Adventure Theatre MTC commences its 2014-2015 63rd Season with Stuart Little, today, Sept. 19 - Oct. 26, 2014. The play is based on the award-winning book by E.B. White, published in 1945. For more than a half-century, the shy and thoughtful mouse has been a beloved literary figure for generations of young readers.

Stuart Little is no ordinary mouse. Born to a family of humans, he lives in New York City with his parents, his older brother George, and Snowbell the cat. Stuart's greatest adventure comes when his best friend, a beautiful little bird named Margalo, disappears from her nest. Determined to track her down, Stuart ventures away from home for the very first time in his life. He finds adventure around every corner. But will he find his friend?

Director Colin Hovde is Producing Artistic Director of Theater Alliance. He is co-founder of ARTISTS' BLOC, a founding member of Capital Fringe Festival, and former Associate Artistic Director at Theater Alliance.

"Stuart Little is a magical piece and I am honored to explore the story and bring it to life with this very talented cast and creative team," says Hovde. "It is a story that explores what our place is in our society, our family and our love life, all through the nostalgic and imaginative story of one small mouse."

Tickets to Stuart Little are $19 each, with group and field trip rates available, and can be purchased through the box office by calling 301-634-2270 or online at www.adventuretheatre-mtc.org. Children under the age of one are free. The press performance is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.

All performances will take place at Adventure Theatre MTC, 7300 MacArthur Blvd., Glen Echo, MD, 20812 in the historic Glen Echo Park.

Says Producing Artistic Director Michael J. Bobbitt... "As the adoptive father of the most amazing son, Stuart Little has always held a special place in my heart. I'm excited to have Colin Hovde and Christopher Dinolfo share in this classic story of a tightly bonded family who don't look alike.
