7 Ronin, a New Group of creative minds, will debut with a performance of Sophocles' "Antigone"at the Maryland Institute College of Art's BBOX performance space July 8th. The post-apocalyptic themed "Antigone" as envisioned by director Alec Lawson and designer Kendra Richard, will be stripped of its time and place and focus on epic imagery, creating a grand representation of a woman's passion for justice and respect for her fallen brother.

This ancient tale resonates deeply and is emblematic of the loyalty, sacrifice, persistence, and honor that all people should preserve in their daily lives regardless of class or status. Where do you stand when faced with the choice to honor the laws of the state, or honor the love for one's family?

Tickets are $10 and available day of the show at the door (cash only). The dates are July 8th at 8pm, July 9th at 8pm, and July 10th at 5pm. The July 10th Sunday evening performance will be student night - $8 for ticket with student ID. Performances will be at the Maryland Institute College of Art's BBOX performance space at The Gateway, 1601 West Mount Royal Avenue Baltimore, MD 21217. Ample street parking is available. Public parking in MICA lots is not permitted.
