It is no small task to create a viable theatre festival, but the folks at the BPF (Baltimore Playwrights Festival) have done just that – for an amazing 27years now! This year's festival spans two full months, includes 10 evenings of theatre by 12 playwrights at 8 local venues.
The festival opened with Finding Fossils by Ty DeMartino at Fells Point Corner Theatre, directed by Alex Carney. That production ran June 26 – July 13. At the same time, Theatrical Mining Company presented Jarvis Legend's Borrowed Skin by Julie Lewis and directed by Nancy Murray.

Graven Image by Stephen Kilduff, directed by Miriam Bazensky.
Gay Deceivers by PS Lorio, directed by Barry Feinstein.
The 'A' Word by Rosemary Frisino Toohey, directed by Caitlin Bouxsein.
Kosher with Salsa by Miryam Madrigal, directed by Jerry Gietka
Helena Troy by Rich Espey, directed by Bill Hauserman
