The ground-breaking Spy: The Secret Worlds of Espionage, the first-ever exhibit showcasing collections of espionage artifacts and gadgets from the extensive vaults of the CIA, FBI and the renowned author and spy historian H. Keith Melton, is leaving New York for its next destination in Philadelphia. The critically acclaimed exhibit on U.S. clandestine affairs, seen by hundreds of thousands of visitors,will close at Discovery Times Square on April 7, 2013, and move to the renowned Franklin Institute in the City of Brotherly Love, where it will open on May 4 and run through mid-October.

The New Ideas Festival was founded in 1989 by Molly Thom and Kerri MacDonald, and provides an opportunity for playwrights, directors, actors and technicians to develop never-before-produced short scripts. It's a juried, three-week annual festival of new writing, works-in-progress and experimental theatre, with a different lineup of short plays each week, and a staged reading (+ Talkback) on Saturdays at noon. Each play in the weekly program (Wednesday - Sunday) now receives 6 performances, and the readings have one each.

Nonesuch Records releases Sam Amidon's label debut Bright Sunny South on May 14. Produced by Amidon with his childhood friend and longtime collaborator Thomas Bartlett (a.k.a. Doveman) and legendary English engineer Jerry Boys (Buena Vista Social Club, Vashti Bunyan, R.E.M.) and recorded in London, the record features a band made up of Bartlett and multi-instrumentalists Shahzad Ismaily and Chris Vatalaro. Jazz trumpeter Kenny Wheeler also makes a cameo. Amidon himself not only sings but also plays banjo, fiddle, acoustic guitar, and piano on the album.

Know Theatre is thrilled to announce the regional premiere of COCK by Mike Bartlett as our next mainstage production. This will be only the second American production following its premiere at the Royal Court Theatre, London. COCK opens April 12, 2013 and runs through May 11, 2013. Brian Robertson, who currently teaches in the Theatre and Dance Department at Northern Kentucky University, will direct this production. Some of his past directing credits include Camelot at the Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center and A Flowering Tree at Cincinnati Opera. Casting is currently underway and will be announced shortly.
