Both the Riedel Dance Theater and Ariel Rivka Dance companies today announced the upcoming world premieres of their new, narrative works - In Violent Circles (Rite of Spring) and Vashti, respectively. These two emerging contemporary ensembles will share the stage for three consecutive nights March 7 - 9, 2013, at the Ailey Citigroup Theatre (NYC). Both choreographers, Jonathan Riedel and Ariel Grossman, are true storytellers who draw upon the emotional power of drama, movement and music to bring stories to life through dance. Both pieces feature live, on-stage musical performances of original scores/arrangements by two of today's top contemporary composer/performers.

After a sold out 9-week run in 2012 and the destruction by Hurricane Sandy of what was supposed to be their new home at South Street Seaport, Third Rail Projects has found a new venue to house its critically acclaimed production of THEN SHE FELL. This immersive theater event is inspired by the life and writings of Lewis Carroll (Alice in Wonderland). It is written, directed, designed and choreographed by Zach Morris with Tom Pearson and Jennine Willett and in collaboration with The Company. Performances of this open-ended run will resume March 9 at The Kingsland Ward at St. Johns, a century-old institutional building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn that will allow the action to play out on 3 floors.

Critically acclaimed director-choreographer Stacey Flaster (Highland Park) and vocal coach Elizabeth Fauntleroy (Lincolnshire) announce the launch of The Performer's School, Chicagoland's premier performing arts school in the north shore area. The school kicks off with audition workshops for 6th-12th graders who have a strong interest in the performing arts. A dance intensive and weeklong summer program are also planned.
