Alongside drummer Noah Leger, they dance and twist around each other like a double helix, forming the DNA of what makes FACS so special. Collectively they approach rhythm from outside the groove as opposed to inside it, creating a lattice where Case weaves guitar lines like creeping vines, making the moments on Still Life In Decay.

Produced by the band in a playground of vintage gear and mixed by Barny Barnicott (Arctic Monkeys, Sam Fender, Kasabian), the resulting album's ten tracks marry earworm tunes with insistent, imperious, soaring rock shapes, punctuated by chorus hooks that are simultaneously nuanced and anthemic.

The current lineup of Lurid Purple Flowers, featuring CA Newcomb on lead vocals and guitar, Ben Caito on bass, and Nick White on drums, has quickly gained recognition in the music industry. In 2022, the band received a Boston Music Award nomination after both their EPs, No Sympathy and Mania, cracked the NACC Top 200 charts.

A sparse, yet soulfully textured track displaying Cope’s signature croon, the song sees the narrator yearning for his partner amongst building guitars and displaced, echoing drum hits. It comes as Cope’s classic 2004 record The Clarence Greenwood Recordings approaches platinum status despite never formally charting.

“City Federal Building” follows previously released singles, “Lonely Love Song”—named “a prayerful and powerful lullaby” by Garden & Gun—and “Sea Star,” which debuted to critical praise from NPR, Relix and Glide Magazine, alongside a video directed by Gus Black. The Baltimore quartet have developed the uncanny psychedelia of 2022’s Gold Arc and Construction EPs to give space to something more raw and immediate. The video was directed by the band's Austyn Wohlers, who was inspired by Pylon's music video for 'Beep,' and features a solitary Jamison traversing the empty streets and basements of Baltimore.

Produced by Matt Drenik (Lions, Battleme), Sleepwalker is a classic combination of Post’s ability to weave intricate lyrical tapestries with undeniable, hook-heavy melodies. The album’s first song, a perfect reverie of guitar haze called “Guilty,” is available to hear now. Louise has also announced a 19-date headlining tour.

The album was recorded live at Pus Cavern Studios in Sacramento with ace recording engineer Joe Johnson and further elevated by Oakland producer and fellow musician, Akiyoshi Ehara (The Seshen, Geographer); who amping up and dialing down dynamics added greater tones, higher fidelity, heavy delays and string arrangements.

Broadway legends Patti LuPone and Nathan Lane are headed to the big screen for A24's upcoming horror film, Beau Is Afraid. In the video trailer, Patti LuPone's voice can be heard as Beau's mother, Mona Wassermann. SunYears, a new project from Swedish singer/songwriter Peter Morén of Peter Bjorn and John, shares the second single, “Slipping Away,” from the debut album Come Fetch My Soul! For the album, Morén enlisted fellow indie artists Ron Sexsmith, Jess Williamson, Eric Johnson (Fruit Bats, Bonny Light Horseman), and Kathryn Williams.

SAMWOY, the moniker of Montreal-based songwriter and JUNO award winning producer Sam Woywitka, is joined on the album by some of Montreal’s top musical guns— Mishka Stein (Patrick Watson,FHANG) on the bass, Robbie Kuster (Patrick Watson) on drums, and Erika Angell (Thus Owls) on vocals.
