A&E has greenlit the four-hour documentary series, “The Chicano Squad” (working title), chronicling a groundbreaking team of bilingual patrol officers plucked from their beats and suddenly promoted to Detectives to form the first all-Latin homicide unit dedicated to tackling Houston’s soaring rate of Latin homicide cases in 1979.

GRAMMY-nominated trumpeter John Raymond and Bon Iver sideman S. Carey released their video for “Transient,” the newest single from Raymond and Carey’s upcoming collaborative album Shadowlands. The album was produced by Sun Chung, and will be released on the Libellule Editions imprint of Chung’s Red Hook Records.

Princess Goes, the buzzy band led by the charismatic showmanship and signature voice of vocalist, lyricist, musician and actor Michael C. Being a multi-disciplinary artist, Dove has played bass in Yungblud, and in Death Valley Girls and she also played synth on “Perfectly Not Close To Me” by WILLOW feat. Yves Tumor.

Recently released “Garment Bag” spins the timeless warning of Hollywood glamor with a gentle, fuzzy indie rock spin. Melchor plays both the soothing off-the-cusp folksinger and sonic tapestry-weaver on record (see his series of playful EPs and his lush 2022 debut LP, Here Goes Nothing!).

Instead of bringing finished songs to the studio, they entered the picturesque Panoramic House recording in Stinson Beach with sketches, ideas, and riffs. Working with co-producer Jeremy Harris (White Fence, Devendra Banhart, Ty Segall) they shaped and crafted the new songs in real time over three sessions.
