Tony and Grammy Award nominee Sara Bareilles, the composer and lyricist of the Broadway smash hit Waitress, returned to the Brooks Atkinson stage as Jenna Hunterson yesterday, January 16, 2018. She will remain in the role for six weeks only. Sara made her Broadway debut in the show earlier this year, breaking house records at the theatre.

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, actress & TV sensation Kandi Burruss (Bravo's 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta') made her Broadway debut in the role of 'Matron 'Mama' Morton' in Chicago on January 15. Burruss will be in the cast for eight weeks only, through March 11, 2018, at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.).

Roundabout Theatre Company will soon present the world-premiere production Amy and the Orphans, by Roundabout Underground alumna Lindsey Ferrentino (Ugly Lies the Bone), with direction by eight-time Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis (She Loves Me, On the Twentieth Century).

Lee ('How to Get Away With Murder,' 'Looking') with direction by Tony Award nominee Liesl Tommy(Eclipsed).

Vineyard Theatre's world premiere production of THE AMATEURS by Jordan Harrison(2015 Pulitzer Prize finalist for MARJORIE PRIME) directed by Oliver Butler (THE OPEN HOUSE, Obie Award for Direction), begins performances Thursday, February 8 with opening night set for Tuesday, February 27.

Jake Shears, lead singer of the glam pop group Scissor Sisters, made his Broadway debut as 'Charlie Price', succeeding Stark Sands beginning yesterday, Monday, January 8, 2018. He will play for a limited run through Sunday, April 1, 2018. The same night returning to the cast as 'Lola' was J. Harrison Ghee, who succeeded Billy Porter.

Starring two-time Academy Award winner Glenda Jackson, Tony Award and three-time Emmy Award winner Laurie Metcalf, and Tony Award nominee Alison Pill, the production directed by two-time Tony winner Joe Mantello. Mama Will Provide...a cast album for the revival of Once on This Island! Broadway Records announced that the album will be released on CD and digitally at most major music retailers on February 23, 2018. The release of Once On This Island will mark the 100th new release by Broadway Records since the label was established in 2012. The album is produced by Elliot Scheiner, Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty, Hunter Arnold and Ken Davenport.
