Meara appeared in five Broadway shows and was Tony-nominated for her performance as Marthy Owen in ANNA CHRISTIE in 1992, opposite Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson.

King, known as the 'King of the Blues' passed away on May 14th in Las Vegas at the age of 89. The news was announced by his attorney. On May 1st, King revealed that he had entered hospice care after being in poor health for an extended period.
