ABC's Christiane Amanpour to Explore Biblical History in Two-Part Special, 12/21 & 12/28

Join ABC News' Christiane Amanpour on the ultimate road trip as she travels to the lands of the Bible to explore the powerful stories from Genesis to the Birth of Jesus. Using the Old Testament as a guidebook, 'Back to the Beginning' peels back the layers of history and faith that has inspired billions. Amanpour, the veteran war correspondent, wanted to investigate the roots of those stories that have created so much conflict, and at the same time so much of the healing she has seen across her career. It is an extraordinary journey through the deserts and cities of the ancient world, to the historical and pilgrimage sites associated with the epic tale that is the backbone of Judaism, Christianity and Islam today. 'BACK TO THE BEGINNING,' a two-part, four-hour special, airs on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 21 (9:00 - 11:00 pm ET) and FRIDAY, DECEMBER 28 (9:00 - 11:00 pm ET)on the ABC TELEVISION NETWORK.

TODDLERS AND TIARAS Returns to TLC on Dec. 19

The competition heats up on Wednesday, December 19th with TLC premiering the all-new series CHEER PERFECTION, documenting the world of competitive cheerleading. From the producers of the hit series TODDLERS & TIARAS and HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO (Authentic Entertainment), this series airing at 10pm follows these pint-sized athletes of all-star cheerleading as they compete through drama, pressure and their highly competitive mothers in hopes of displaying cheer perfection. The network ordered eight episodes to series, directly following the July one-off that garnered 1.1 million viewers.

Based on Nielsen's TV playback data for the week, ABC's Modern Family registered as the biggest gainer via time-shifted viewing in Adults 18-49 for its 6th consecutive telecast, picking up an additional 2.1 rating points from its originally reported Live + Same Day numbers. In fact, ABC claimed 3 of the week's Top 5 biggest gainers on the broadcast networks among young adults, with Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy (+1.9 rating points) and Once Upon a Time (+1.5 rating points).
