AMC announced today that it renewed its original Western drama Hell on Wheels for an expanded fourth season. For its third season, Hell on Wheels was moved to Saturday – a day that AMC has traditionally devoted to classic Western films and television shows – and the show attracted a larger audience than it had in its second seasonon Sunday nights. In its third season, Hell on Wheels delivered an average audience of 3.3 million viewers, live and with three days of time shifting.

It also attracted one of the most upscale audiences on DIY Network, ranking as the #2 upscale program among M25-54 - behind the pop icon and knock-out home renovator's other series, Vanilla Ice Project. Beginning on Sunday, December 1st at 10 pm ET, MSNBC launches a new series, “Slave Hunter: Freeing Victims of Human Trafficking,” which reveals, in captivating detail, what happens behind closed doors in the sex trafficking underworld. The series highlights the groundbreaking work of human rights advocate, Aaron Cohen and his partner, former Las Vegas vice detective, Chris Baughman. Together, they seek out and try to help trafficked women in New York City get out of “the life.” Cohen and Baughman gave MSNBC and Peacock Productions unique access to document their efforts which were conducted in conjunction with Abolish Slavery, a California-based anti-trafficking organization. Slave Hunter will air on Sunday nights in December at 10 pm ET.

Martinez has nearly 30 years of experience in the broadcast industry with extensive knowledge of station management, sales and programming. The NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Group today announced that it has increased its stake to full ownership of Sprout, the first 24-hour preschool network, following a buyout of its remaining partners at PBS and HIT Television Ventures, a company controlled by Apax Funds. Launched in 2005 as a joint venture among Comcast, PBS, Sesame Workshop and HIT Entertainment, Sprout will now be 100 percent owned and integrated within the Cable Entertainment Group as it deepens its commitment to building an overall kids and family entertainment strategy.
