In a hospital in Aleppo City, children, adults and the elderly are continuously waiting for care from doctors, who try to save as many lives as they can. Although this is presently happening in the Middle East, those in the Western world can learn and apply that disasters and terrorism can occur anywhere in the world through either man made or natural means and that we all can be better prepared when disasters strike. In line with this, author Jane-Alexandra Krehbiel shares Rational Preparedness: A Primer for Preparedness, a comprehensive starting point which takes disaster preparedness concepts and translates them into reasonable, step by step advance actions that families can take in order to better anticipate and respond to tragedies whether natural or terroristic in nature.
