NBC Sports Group's upcoming NASCAR coverage continues to take shape as another prominent figure from the sanctioning body's elite series joins NBC and NBCSN's expanding broadcast team. Current Hendrick Motorsports crew chief Steve Letarte, who once stood at the helm of Jeff Gordon's famed No. 24 race team, and now leads the crew behind the ultra-popular No. 88 car driven by Dale Earnhardt Jr., has reached an agreement to join NBC's multi-platform NASCAR coverage beginning in 2015. The announcement was made today by Sam Flood, Executive Producer, NBC Sports and NBCSN, and will be discussed in further detail at a Media Conference scheduled for 8:30 AM ET tomorrow at Daytona International Speedway.

NBCSN's coverage of the 2013-14 college hockey season continues this weekend with an Ivy League matchup, when 2013 National Champion and No. 10 Yale faces Harvard at historic Madison Square Garden in New York City. Coverage of the inaugural Rivalry on Ice begins at 8 p.m. ET. In addition to the telecast on NBCSN, NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group's live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets – will live stream coverage of the Rivalry on Ice.

Hallmark Channel announces Golden Globe(R) and four-time Emmy(R) winning actress Valerie Harper has been cast to guest star in the first two episodes of Hallmark Channel's newest Original Primetime Series, 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered,' produced by Muse Entertainment in association with MoonWater Productions, the series is set to premiere Spring 2014. Created and Executive Produced by Martha Williamson, best known as the Executive Producer behind the mega-hit 'Touched By An Angel,' the scripted primetime show features a group of postal detectives, played by Eric Mabius ('Ugly Betty'), Kristin Booth ('The Kennedys'), Crystal Lowe ('Smallville') and Geoff Gustafson ('Primeval: New World'), who solve mysteries behind undeliverable letters and packages that can transform lives. Harper will portray their Supervisor, a revolving role that will feature other iconic guest stars in upcoming episodes.

Disney Junior, the multiplatform brand for kids age 2-7 and their parents/caregivers has ordered new seasons of its animated series 'Sofia the First,' 'Doc McStuffins' and 'Jake and the Never Land Pirates.' Disney Junior is TV's #1 preschool-dedicated network in the Nielsen demographic, Kids 2-5. The record-breaking 'Sofia the First,' which follows the adventures of Disney's first little girl princess, and the acclaimed Emmy-nominated 'Doc McStuffins,' which centers around a six-year-old girl who runs a clinic for her stuffed animals and toys, have each been picked up for a third season, while the Emmy-nominated and Annie Award-winning 'Jake and the Never Land Pirates,' featuring a crew of kid pirates alongside classic Disney characters Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, has received an order for a fourth season. OWN's season two premiere of the Tyler Perry drama 'The Haves and the Have Nots' on Tuesday night (Jan. 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT) delivered record numbers, earning 2.8 million total viewers and becoming the #1 season premiere in OWN history across all key demos. The episode ranked as the highest telecast in series history, posting double-digit growth in W25-54 (up +59%) and total viewers (up +57%) versus the season one premiere (May 28, 2013). It also saw double- digit growth versus the prior season average, up +58% in W25-54 and +53% in total viewers and was up +13% in W25-54 and +7% in total viewers versus the fall finale (September 3, 2013).

Weight Watchers International, Inc. (NYSE: WTW) in partnership with ABC's hit food and lifestyle show “The Chew” (weekdays 1:00–2:00 P.M., ET) today introduced the six culinary professional finalists who will compete in “The Chew Search for the Weight Watchers Chef.” Beginning WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15 the contestants will appear weekly on “The Chew” to showcase their skills in developing and preparing healthy, delicious dishes for a chance to win $75,000, and a one-year consulting contract with Weight Watchers as the Weight Watchers Chef. From November 18-December 8, 2013, eligible culinary professionals were invited to enter the contest online by sharing their culinary resume and a short video describing how great tasting food can support a healthy lifestyle and demonstrate how to make an indulgent dish healthier. Two hosts of “The Chew” and a Weight Watchers representative will serve as judges as the contestants battle it out on-air in the tournament-style competition, leaving just the top competitors to face off for the grand prize in the finale scheduled to air on February 19.
