Nickelodeon Wins Basic Cable's First Quarter of 2013 in KidsApril 2, 2013 Following its 4Q12 win, Nickelodeon has kicked off 2013 by topping all basic cable with kids and total viewers for 1Q13. Nickelodeon averaged a 2.9/968,000 with kids 2-11 (+7%) and 1.9 million total viewers (+6%). Nickelodeon's top show for the quarter with kids 2-11 is SpongeBob SquarePants (6.3/2.0 million), which is up +7% over last year. Additionally, Nickelodeon posted gains over 4Q12 with K2-11 (2.8/935,000; +12%) and total viewers (1.8 million; +9%).

Amazon is currently taking preorders for the series' DVD release - apparently set for June 11. Sony Entertainment, as Deadline reports, hasn't made the official announcement that the Kevin Spacey-led series would even get a DVD release, but according to Amazon, it obviously is. The online marketplace is now offering the first (and potentially only) season of CARDS for a special pre-order price of $44.99.
