Chris Matthews to Remain at MSNBC Through 2016April 30, 2013According to The Hollywood Reporter, Matthews, 67, has signed a new long-term deal to remain with the network through the next presidential election. ESPN to Air All 16 Division 1 Baseball Regional Championships, Begin. 5/31April 29, 2013ESPN will continue to increase its commitment to college baseball by covering all 16 sites of the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship from Friday, May 31 to Monday, June 3. It will mark the first time every first-round game of the event - up to 7 games from each of the 16 locations for a total of a possible 112 matchups over four days - will be available to fans live on a national platform. ESPN provided coverage of six sites in 2012, four in 2011 and two the previous six years.
ABC, ESPN to Air Six Prime Time Big 10 College Football Games in 2013April 29, 2013ESPN announced six Big Ten Conference college football games for Saturday prime-time telecasts on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2 during the 2013 season. Each game includes at least one team ranked in an early ESPN.com preseason top 25 poll for 2013: No. 1 Ohio State three times, No. 9 Michigan twice, and No. 24 Northwestern and No. 25 Wisconsin once each. Two of the telecasts will involve a Big Ten member hosting independent Notre Dame, which is ranked No. 10 in the ESPN.com poll. Additional games will be announced in the coming months.
