Warner Bros. Television Group has tapped reality TV rainmaker Mike Darnell to join the Studio and serve as President, Warner Bros. Unscripted and Alternative Television. In this newly created position, Darnell will have oversight of first-run syndicated series produced by Telepictures Productions as well as unscripted primetime TV programming produced by Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, as part of a strategic restructuring that aligns the Studio's reality-based content creation under his supervision, with both Telepictures and Warner Horizon Unscripted Television reporting to Darnell. Darnell will also serve as the Studio's creative point person in its relationship with Shed Media U.S., the American unscripted production entity of Shed Media Group (majority owned by Warner Bros. International Television Production). The announcement was made today by Warner Bros. Television Group President and Chief Content Officer Peter Roth, to whom Darnell will report. Darnell will begin his new role on August 12, 2013.

TVGN (TV Guide Network), home of BIG BROTHER: AFTER DARK, will air encore episodes of BIG BROTHER every Friday night starting at 8:00 PM ET/PT beginning July 19. The three hours will feature the most recent weekly episodes from the CBS Television Network broadcast (Wednesdays 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT; Thursdays 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT; Sundays 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT).

NBC's “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' have dominated their broadcast time-period competition for the week of July 8-12, delivering bigger audiences than their ABC and CBS rivals in every key ratings category: adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers. Note that CBS's “Late Late Show with David Letterman” and ABC's “Jimmy Kimmel Live” aired encores on Friday.

The CW has moved up the premiere date for its new reality competition series Capture from the previously announced date of Wednesday, July 31 to Tuesday, July 30 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), immediately following the hit comedy series WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY?. Capture will continue to air in its new regularly scheduled time period on Tuesdays.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center (FSLC) and AMC announced today the confirmed cast, and schedule details, for the upcoming 'The Perfect Batch: Breaking Bad Cast Favorites,' for which series Creator and Executive Producer Vince Gilligan will join, previously announced participants, stars Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte, Dean Norris and Bob Odenkirk, to present their favorite episodes and participate in Q&A sessions. New additions to the cast lineup include Betsy Brandt and Dean Norris, and moderators for the conversations will be Matt Zoller Seitz, television critic for New York Magazine and editor in chief of RogerEbert.com onAugust 1 and Emily Nussbaum, television critic for The New Yorker on August 2. ABC and Global Television jointly announced today the renewal of the summer's popular drama series, 'Rookie Blue,' for a fifth season. The fifth season of the series will start development in the fall and will move into production in January 2014.

Ab?by Huntsman has been named co-host of The Cycle on MSNBC, effective July 29. Huntsman joins co-hosts Krystal Ball, Ari Melber, and Toure on The Cycle Monday through Friday 3-4 p.m. ET. Ball will also return from maternity leave on July 29.

Nelson Franklin ('VEEP,' 'New Girl') has joined the cast of the new CBS fall comedy The Millers as a series regular. He joins Will Arnett, Emmy Award winner Margo Martindale, Emmy Award winner Beau Bridges, JB Smoove and Jayma Mays, who was previously announced.

The 'Teen Beach Movie' soundtrack releases today, Tuesday, July 16, from Walt Disney Records. The television premiere of 'Teen Beach Movie,' a Disney Channel Original Movie, is FRIDAY, JULY 19 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel U.S. followed by telecasts on Disney Channels around the world. A weekend of programming events, including a Sing-Along telecast hosted by the cast, will be presented on Disney Channel. USA Network is launching Sights Unseen: Auggie Undercover, presented by Jaguar, the second prequel in the webisode series from COVERT AFFAIRS.
