The ABC Television Network proudly announced today that it has extended its relationship with the popular “Peanuts” animated specials by Charles M. Schulz in a deal with Peanuts Worldwide LLC and Lee Mendelson Film Productions until 2020. The beloved Emmy Award-winning specials created by Charles M. Schulz and produced and animated by Lee Mendelson and Bill Melendez began airing on ABC in December 2001. The “Peanuts” animated holiday specials include “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” “It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” and the iconic “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” which first aired on television in 1965, and will celebrate its 50th anniversary in the coming year.

With its late-night lineup of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” at 11:35 p.m. and “Nightline” at 12:35 a.m. during the week of Thanksgiving (week of November 25, 2013), ABC was up by 8% over the prior week in Total Viewers (2.645 million vs. 2.442 million) to deliver a new season high for the 2nd-consecutive week. In fact, ABC attracted its biggest audience in late-night in 1 year – since the week of 11/26/12.

ABC News' “Good Morning America” won the 2013 November sweep in both Total Viewers (5.950 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.226 million), according to Nielsen Media Research. Also winning the year-ago sweep, “GMA” scored its first back-to-back November sweep victories in 20 years in Total Viewers and in 21 years in Adults 25-54 – since November 1992-93 and November 1991-92, respectively. Further, “GMA's” November 2013 win extended its run of consecutive sweep victories to 6 straight in Total Viewers and 5 in a row in Adults 25-54.
