Chip Colley, a longtime director for CBS News, has been promoted to director of the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY. In this role, Colley will also direct during CBS News' special events and contribute to CBS News' breaking news coverage. His appointment is effective Feb. 24.

“The Rachel Maddow Show” marked a big victory in the key A25-54 demo, ranking #1 at 9 p.m. among cable news networks for the week of January 6, according to data from Nielsen. Maddow finished the week with 325,000 among A25-54, topping Fox News Channel's “The Kelly File” (305,000) and CNN's 9 p.m. programming (159,000). This was “The Rachel Maddow Show's” best week since April 15, 2013 (Boston marathon bombing).

Households were up +20% (1.83 vs. 1.52 rating), Adults 18-49 rose +10% year to year (1.1 Million vs. 961,000) and Women 18-49 gained +10% (805,000 vs. 731,000) with all of these measures also striking ten year highs – a best since 2004.

NBC and Time Inc. have partnered to present a two-hour TV special celebrating the 50th anniversary of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit franchise — one of the most hotly-anticipated annual fixtures in American pop culture. Entitled “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful,” the show is set to air on NBC, Monday, Feb. 3 (9 p.m. ET/PT).
