Skydance Television today announced that it will develop Faster Than Light, the best-selling augmented reality comic series that tells the story of humanity's first thrilling and terrifying adventures to the stars, set in the present day. The story is by Brian Haberlin and artwork is by Haberlin and Geirrod Vandyke.

The Old Globe welcomes Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, making his musical directing debut with RAIN, a sumptuous world premiere musical by one of the most significant teams working in theatre today: composer and lyricist Michael John LaChiusa and book writer Sybille Pearson. NBC Sports Group's U.S.-based Premier League team is hitting the road, as the announce team works together on-location in the United Kingdom April 16-19, the second year featuring full coverage from the U.K. The trip kicks off NBC Sports Group's presentation of nine Premier League match days in a 10-day span (April 16-25), including six consecutive days of live matches.

For the fifth consecutive year, every NHL Stanley Cup Playoff game will be presented nationally across the platforms of NBC Sports Group and select NBCUniversal networks. During April, May, and June, NBC Sports Group will televise as many as 105 playoff games and possibly more than 260 hours of programming. It all begins one week from today on Wednesday, April 13.

CMT today announced it will pay tribute to country music legend Merle Haggard, who passed away today at the age of 79, with “CMT Remembers Merle Haggard,” premiering tonight, APRIL 6 at 8:30pm ET/PT.  The special will feature never-before-seen footage and interviews, vintage performance clips and commentary from Haggard himself as well as some of country music's biggest stars including Miranda Lambert, Toby Keith, Florida Georgia Line, Vince Gill, Wynonna Judd, Dwight Yoakam, Brooks & Dunn and Bobby Bare.

Arnold has been cited as having profound influence on Elvis, who cut a number of his songs over the years. He also ranked among CMT's list of 'The 40 Greatest Men of Country Music.'
