So this is my last article! At least, this is my last article for now. By the time this is posted, I'll be done with all my finals! This semester has been truly wild. It really went by quicker than I thought. I'm still not in the holiday spirit and it's probably too late for that since Christmas is in a few days. I've spent so much time in the city and it's been fun seeing all the holiday displays and store windows. I'm just really ready for rest because I'm tired like everyone else is.

Alright. So. There is exactly one week left of the semester. I'm so tired. I can't believe how much work I've actually gotten done.

Just like that the semester is almost over! It feels like I just started the fall semester. Now I'm in my last week of classes! Has the studying started? No. Has the crying started? Absolutely! Like every other college student, I'm currently drowning in final papers, projects, due dates, and probably a whole bunch of other stuff that I'm not even aware of. I've been trying to get into the holiday spirit by doing festive things in the city. I haven't had much time, but I did get to enjoy a trip to the Met over the weekend!

Thanksgiving break is over and just like that it's finals season! The break before finals is always like a taste of winter break. You don't realize how much you needed the rest until it's snatched away from you until Christmas. I didn't necessarily come back from break rested and recharged, but I did come back ready to work. The day I came back was the first time I had visited all of the campus buildings in one day!

I just registered for my upper sophomore classes. I didn't realize how fast everything is going! I remember being a senior in high school and applying to all the schools I had on my list. Pace was my top choice and now I'm almost halfway through with my college career. The time goes by really fast. If you're in New York City for any of the holiday festivities or if you're just here doing tourist things, come visit Pace and see if the school is right for you!

One of the perks of going to Pace University is discount Broadway tickets. For each month of the semester, there is a show offered for $30. For November, the show was The Prom. It's a great for students that are new to the city since they're able to experience a show at an affordable price. I go see shows as much as I can, so I'm grateful Pace is able to offer us discounted tickets.

The 2018-2019 Broadway season is well underway. New shows have opened this fall while others will find their new home in the spring. Out of the revivals and works based on something already existing, where does original work stand? Most shows coming to Broadway are jukebox shows, revivals, or based on a movie, a novel etc. I was thinking of why I felt overwhelmed by the lack of originality I see.

Whenever a show celebrates one more year on Broadway, I get really excited. It's an occasion worth celebrating as some shows don't even make it through the first year. Despite how much all of us love and appreciate theatre as art, it's still a business. Some shows make it and some shows don't.

With college midterms drawing to a close, another very important midterm is coming up. There has been a lot of buzz surrounding this year's midterm election. It's been made very clear to all of us that we have the power to change what we feel is unjust.

I hate midterms, but I love musicals. I've been having a rough time this week with all the work and little time to enjoy things. Midterms bring me so much anxiety and it sometimes becomes debilitating. I wasn't enjoying my cast recordings, I wasn't seeing any new things, and most importantly I was not motivated to study.
