I was cast as 'Dorothy' in Plaza Theatricals' production of The Wizard of Oz in December for four performances. Fast forward to now, the run was successful and we are now touring the show throughout NY.

Before my days of finding my passion for being on stage, three year old me had a routine of finding my family's Cinderella VHS tape. The movie would be played on our television daily, and I would sing and dance along with it. Eighteen years later and I got to play the princess herself in Plaza Theatricals' production of Cinderella at the start of 2022. What's even more exciting is that we will be having more performances throughout May.

During my winter break, I had the opportunity to perform in an original immersive theatre production at the Tilles Center called Branching Out! But how is an immersive production doable during a pandemic? Read to find out!

In my senior year of high school, I went down the Yellow Brick Road as “Dorothy” in our production of The Wizard of Oz. As a junior musical theatre major at LIU Post, I’m putting on my ruby slippers and braiding my hair as I reprise the role this December. Here's my experience of approaching the same role again and doing it during a pandemic!

The magic of being in a rehearsal room again, of watching a cast perform without a script in their hands for the first time again, of tearing up and getting chills from a powerful moment on stage again-- they’re all parts of putting a production together that I didn’t even realize how much I missed. After waiting over a year for live theatre to return at LIU Post, I am currently assistant directing our production of The Laramie Project!
