I don't know about you, but this time of year is usually super busy for me! However, now that we are all spending a bit more time at home, it is a bit easier to find a free moment. If you're a theatre student, you likely were planning for some sort of audition when school was still physically in session. Luckily, being at home doesn't mean you can't still prepare for future auditions.

One of the the things that has made a huge difference in my college theatre career has been getting involved in as many organizations as I can.

I don't know about you, but this time of year is super busy for me, as it is for most students! Some days, it can feel like you're drowning in schoolwork. As if that wasn't enough, if you're a theatre student, you likely have some sort of audition coming up! I know it can seem daunting to prepare for auditions, especially when you have a million other things going on. However, with a little initiative and proactivity, you can get through audition season with as little stress as possible!

Let's face it- as fun and exciting as college can be, campuses are a bit of a cesspool for germs! With winter rearing its head and temperatures dropping, it's important to think about maintaining your health! If you happen to be a performer, your body is your instrument, and keeping germs and sickness away is something that should always be on your brain.

I've done lots of shows and been a part of many casts throughout my life, and one of my favorite parts of any production process is bonding with my castmates. There's nothing like the camaraderie of working with your peers to create a piece of art that you're all proud of. However, especially in college, many shows don't have a super long production process, and this can make it hard to get close to your cast and make friends. It's not impossible, though!
