The past four years that I have spent at the University of Miami have been wonderful and terrifying and everything in between.  

The semester is in full swing at the University of Miami, and so are rehearsals in the theatre department. a?" Dona??t worry, ZOOM rehearsals. And even though the term a?oezoom rehearsalsa?? sounds really fun, ita??s not as appealing as it may seem. 

For many students, school has begun in one form or another: online, in-person, or a?oehybrida?? as the University of Miami calls their system.

Like most people right now, Ia??ve got a lot of free time on my hands. Without any summer theatre or internships, my days have been filled with eating, writing, sleeping, singing, and watching a whole lot of RuPaula??s Drag Race.

Even though this year will be much different than the rest, thanks to Covid, I can assure you that you will have an amazing year and you will learn and grow immensely. 

For the artists, students, working professionals (which is no one right now), and those seeking future employment on Broadway, things seem hopeless. 

I reflect and realize that those are things that I, a white male, could do without any issue before the virus. Not just without issue, but without the chance of being harassed, attacked, or even killed for the color of my skin.
