As this article is being posted on BroadwayWorld, the main thing this article will be focusing on, of course, is Broadway itself and my revelations regarding it. And honestly, it's sort of embarrassing how long it took me to realize just how horrible and ingrained Broadway's issues are. I mean. The entire genre of musical theatre has its roots in minstrelsy. And while it may have evolved to something else, those roots are still there, and they still need to be addressed.

Saturday, May 8, I had the chance to attend and speak at the Broadway Community Forum. Here's my speech.

If we all come together and fight against these people in power, if we demand change in the industry, we can make theatre a better place for future generations, for everyone who's ever dreamt of being on Broadway. Because we shouldn't have to compromise our art for our morals.

Honestly, I was stumped for ideas on what to write this week, so I decided to share things that I enjoy: my personal favorite songs from a bunch of musicals--basically, recommending songs--one per musical. There’s no particular correlation to any of these other than that I like them all. I hope you enjoy!

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!

With the recent announcement that Jonathan M. Chu will be officially directing the Wicked movie adaptation, a slew of dream castings has followed on social media websites everywhere. So I decided to take my own crack at it. Here’s my ideal casting for the movie! 

While many may consider musical theatre to be rather niche (and it is compared to a lot of other mainstream entertainment, don’t get me wrong), it might surprise them just how popular many of the more mainstream musicals are.

I think that whenever Broadway reopens, Next to Normal should come with it.
