Student Blogger: MJ Kirsche

MJ Kirsche (she/her/hers) is a writer and performing artist based in Franklin, MA. A college sophomore musical theatre major, MJ is a passionate young writer who finds solace in writing plays, musicals, stories, and poetry. In 2022, her short play "Mortal Dilemma" was announced as a winner of Trinity Repertory Company's "Write Here! Write Now!" student playwriting contest, and received a staged reading at their theater in Rhode Island. MJ went on to take "Mortal Dilemma" to her college where she directed and staged it her first semester of her freshman year. Since then, MJ has joined the board of BroadwayWorld's Student Bloggers where she documents her life as an artist twice a month, as well as recently joining The Matchbox Theater's new playwriting group.

'How did you do it?' I kept asking myself before returning for my second semester of college. 'How did you set all the right alarms, wake up on time, know where to go, remember all the rehearsals, and manage all your school work all at once?' And the truth is, I don't know. But I made it through the first, and we're back for the second! ... And there sure is a lot to do.
