When you were in middle or high school, I am certain that at least one educator had claimed that the most pointless lesson they taught was certainly the most important lesson in the whole universe. It was also emphasized that the lesson will also help you get through college. I vividly remember internally telling myself 'There is no way that a mathematical formula will help me conquer all my college adversities.'

Winter Break... what isn't there to love? For starters, it's the month of December which is filled with many exciting events that I look forward to throughout the year. The first one is my birthday which starts at the top of the month and then leads into the best and longest break my university offers us.

Burnout. A word that I believe every person on this whole planet has experienced at least once in their lifetime. It is not fun, it can make you irritable, and creeps up on you at the most important and busiest times of your life

If you are a workaholic like myself, you understand that taking breaks is super important to your overall well-being. Life is not solely about working and worrying about fulfilling deadlines, therefore maintaining a healthy balance of personal life and work life is key to living a life with beautiful memorable moments.

When we think of college we often associate it with long, excessive papers, horrific midterms/finals, long nights, and tons of Starbucks/Dunkin Donut trips to help us get through it all. However, if you were to ask me how I can manage my school, theatre, and work responsibilities I would tell you “scheduling!”

Dallas and Amy curated a space that our university desperately needed. Together they created “U Progress” which is a student lead theatre club that creates performance opportunities predominantly for students of color in the Ira Brind School.

After a long restful and restorative summer, being back in the city of Philadelphia feels amazing and nostalgic! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Lina Batista. I am a Jersey Born Philadelphia- based actor, singer, creative, and student. I attend The University of The Arts and I’m experiencing my fourth and final year as a Musical Theatre major! I simply can't believe I am finally able to officially say that!
