I’ve been trying to only say yes to things that I know are going to fulfil me and fill up my cup and not take away from it. They are going to help feel better mentally and physically.

I really tried to focus on the fact that these were the last ones I was going to do here at this place. I wanted to enjoy it. I wanted to enjoy every opportunity I had and everything I did.

I have never been president of anything before in my life. I was so scared to run and a little more scared once I got elected, but I had nothing to worry about.

So far, getting to work on this show has been really cool. I love DND and I think it is oh so awesome, so getting to dive into that through She Kills Monsters has made me oh so happy.

You will never quite be in this place with these people doing the things you are doing ever again, so enjoy all of it. It isn’t going to be easy by any means, but do what you can to enjoy what you can.

I’ve got a lot going on, (big shock) but I wouldn’t want it any other way. I can’t wait to see what this semester holds. It’s going to be a great one!

I could yap and yap and yap about this camp for days. I know it sounds cliche and silly, but I truly am the most real version of myself when I am there. Walking through the doors always feels like I’m coming home.

The days are flying by and I’m scared the days of my senior year are going to fly by too. But that isn’t a bad thing. That just means I’ve gotta enjoy them while I can and soak up as much sunlight from them as I can.

Sometimes though in the summer, especially when I’m not doing any shows or anything like that, I can fall into a bit of a creative rut. So, I wanted to hop on here and talk about a few things I do throughout the summer to stay active in the arts.

I always leave feeling so inspired and creatively charged. It is truly a huge blessing and I am so lucky to go to a school where we are encouraged to take part in new work and we are given the opportunities to learn about many different aspects of our industry, and the Lanford Wilson Festival helps us do just that.

I love summer. I love summer time and laying by the pool and getting to hang out with my hometown friends. I miss my college pals very dearly, but it is always nice to be home for a short while.

The only thing I could do was take it one day at a time. That’s it. That is all I could do.

So yes, I still fall victim to feeling like an imposter, but once I get out of my head, I feel so much joy and love for the career that I am in and for the show that I’m in.

It was probably one of the coolest, most surreal things I’ve ever seen in my life. I didn’t fully understand why people from all over the world came to my tiny lil town to see the eclipse, but after watching it I get it now.

I’ve always thought my process was a little all over the place when doing a show and this process has given me more of an outline and a way to organize what I have been doing, which I have found oh so helpful.

Every once in a while, I let in a glimmer of doubt that New York is too scary and I don’t actually like it and I could never live there, but then I go back. I go back and I see all the friends I have out there and I remember how much I love it.

And going after what I want and what I want to do, isn’t silly or ridiculous in the slightest. I also am allowed to change my mind at any point in time and that doesn’t make me any less of an artist. It does not mean I failed.

And don’t you dare settle for anything less than what you want and deserve. Because once you find that perfect fit for you, it is amazing. Transferring was so so scary, but that fear is nothing compared to the joy I have now.

So far, it’s been pretty good and has honestly already felt like a month already. I’m excited to be back and glad to have started classes, rehearsals, and all that good stuff.

All humans make mistakes. And that is okay. So if I do mess up or something does fall through the cracks, that is okay. I am going to be more forgiving to myself this year.
