Hi! My name is Grace Schofield and I am a current BFA Musical Theatre Student at the Dobbins Conservatory at Southeast Missouri State University. I also work at our school’s library and as an usher. I am a second year here at SEMO and I have been involved in multiple productions as a performer, director, and assistant stage manager. I started performing when I was 6 years old and just simply never stopped. I’ve tried to immerse myself in as many aspects of theater as possible. In high school, I also worked at my local theater program as a teacher’s assistant and a performer. I would help teach classes, run rehearsals, and perform in the shows we put on. Most recently, I premiered a short play I wrote in Player's Theatre's Short Play Festival NYC. For fun, I often made vlogs to document my experience in being a part of different shows throughout the semester to be posted on youtube and I loved it. It was fun getting to edit the videos and now, it is really nice to have a sort of time capsule to look back on. I also really enjoy reading, writing short plays and poetry, being around my friends, and I also love gnomes. I am also a christian and my faith is really important to me and it has been really cool to get to share that with others here at my school. I hope to continue to grow and learn more and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

I always leave feeling so inspired and creatively charged. It is truly a huge blessing and I am so lucky to go to a school where we are encouraged to take part in new work and we are given the opportunities to learn about many different aspects of our industry, and the Lanford Wilson Festival helps us do just that.
