When I started my program in media and broadcasting, I realized how extremely important integrity is. It can make or break my future career in media. To me, integrity is closely connected to how trustworthy and dependable you are as a person. As a student, that can be reflected in your behavior. People can see your values as a student. And you will carry them with you through your professional life.

I am entering my final year, and part of it is working at our school’s radio station. And on my first day of the new semester, I found out that I was going to face my biggest challenge yet. I will have to host my own late night radio show. There were a lot of things that I didn’t expect going into this job. And that’s when I felt grateful for having a theater background.

Being burnt out means that you are not well. You’re emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted that you just can’t function as a human being. I have experienced burnout multiple times in the past, and I don’t think it's worth it. So why does it keep happening?

One of the things that I wanted to do this summer was to learn something new. So, I decided to learn how to use Adobe Photoshop. For practice, I wanted to create a series of photos with a specific theme. And that’s how the “Animals go to Broadway” series was born.

If you read my post last month, you know that my summer plans include working, learning, and creating. But it's been about seven weeks since my summer break started, and I haven’t really done that much. That's when I figured out what's been missing. Deadlines. 

One of the best things about living in Vancouver is the huge number of cultural festivals in the summer. You get to be in Italy one day, and the Philippines the next day. It's that time of the year when you get to experience new cultures and get inspired. Follow my story of how I went to three cultural festivals last June.

I'm a theater lover, so the Tony Awards is important for me. But I am currently living in Canada as an international student, and that means that I can’t watch the Tony Awards as easily as those who live in the US. I did some research on how to watch it from here, but with a tight budget, it's definitely a challenge.

School is finally over. I let myself sleep in for as long as I could. Then when I wake up, I eat whatever I wanted, and binge my favorite series. It’s like revenge. I didn’t get to do that for the past months, so now I’m gonna. But then I realize that after all that, I will have that itch to be productive again. What should I do this summer?
