Throughout my theatre, music, and dance training, I have constantly had to adapt to new teachers and their own unique styles. While it can be quite a challenge, it is a useful exercise in adaptability, a transferrable skill for the professional world. Viewing your work through different lenses gives greater perspective on the art.

Lin-Manuel Miranda has certainly become a household name over the past few years. Garnering countless accolades for his work as a composer, writer, and performer, Miranda is not only one of my biggest inspirations, but a genius innovator in the theatre community.

From open calls to callbacks, auditioning is a major part of the theatre, film, and television industries. For professional actors and performers, auditioning IS their job. Booking a show or commercial is usually a short-term gig, so looking for work is a constant cycle.

With twists, turns, bumps, and jolts, the road to college can be a rough ride.
