First Show:

The King and I

Favorite Show:

Picking a favorite show is a hard thing to do, but currently I'd have to say Moulin Rouge! I saw it for the first time this summer and I'm obsessed to say the very least.

Favorite Stories:

  • Being an Assistant Stage Manager - I had such a fun experience working as an assistant stage manager. It was an area of theatre I had yet to try, and I had a blast. I wrote about my duties and the people I met along the way, and the theatre I worked for reposted my article as well. Stage managers make a show run, and I was honored to take part in something greater than myself.
  • My Experience with HAMILTON - Hamilton is one of my all-time favorite musicals. I got to see it under special circumstances, and it was incredible to say the least. Writing this was a lot of fun because the reminiscing I got to do brought all those incredible memories back again.
  • Benefits from Theatre Education - I could not be a bigger advocate of theatre education. There are countless reasons why teaching something like theatre betters all the lives it touches. Writing this from a personal point of view felt right since I know all the ways I've benefitted from something like theatre education.
  • Kansas City Director Interview - I got the opportunity to interview the director I worked with during my time stage managing. It was a fun piece to write, and fun to gain insight from someone who's been in the career of theatre for so long.
  • Method Acting - Method acting is something I try to incorporate somewhat in whatever I'm acting in. I wrote about my personal approach to this method, and what makes this a beneficial technique.
