The Broadway Education Alliance will present a virtual press event with Dr. Thalia Goldstein on September 19 at 3:00 PM (EST). Goldstein’s newly published book, Why Theatre Education Matters is the first book-length work that examines the psychological foundations of theatre education and shows how thinking on stage happens in real secondary classrooms.

WRITE OUT LOUD has announced “Poe and His Progeny”, at the Villa Montezuma Museum in Sherman Heights. This historic Queen Anne Victorian was named “The Palace of the Arts,' by Jessie Shepard, the musician, spiritualist and author who designed it in 1887.

The Classical Theatre Company opens up its 17th Season with the master of Gothic horror, Bram Stoker, in a brand-new adaptation of his masterpiece, Dracula. Adapted by frequent Classical Theatre Company collaborator, Chris Iannacone, this script will hearken back to the original 1897 novel.

 Harlem Stage has announced its 2024-2025 Season of new works, reimagined works, a new vision, and beloved festivals and series in the inaugural season for new CEO & Artistic Director, Dr. Indira Etwaroo.

NURSE! was inspired by actress/Brooklyn Theater fire survivor Kate Claxton’s historic lecture tour. Deprived of her sole source of income, Juliet’s Nurse must travel to any venue that will have her, to share her eyewitness account of events familiar from Shakespeare’s tragedy, and in so doing, correct the record regarding “the greatest love story ever told.”

The Conspirators will present a retooling of Commedia Divina: It’s Worse Than That, written by Sid Feldman and directed by Wm. Bullion, at the Otherworld Theatre, 3914 N. Clark St., October 18 - November 10.

Melbourne Theatre Company has announced thirteen world-class stage productions for its 2025 season. From classic plays to international hits and world premieres to works that could only have been made in Melbourne, audiences are invited to immerse themselves in stories that ask them to think, feel and reflect in a season that bridges the familiar with the unexpected.

David Mills goes comically dark in his newest subversive show, 'STAY LOST.' Inspired by the explosive 1990's New York solo performance scene with echoes of Bogosian, Bernhart, Goldberg, and art star Penny Arcade, 'STAY LOST' is a mash-up of storytelling, stand-up, and cabaret - featuring boldly comedic monologues and surprisingly provocative song interpretations from the Blues to the classic American songbook, gospel, and spooky folk songs.

Little Red Light theatre will present a staged reading of a new musical comedy: Harry Reems Goes to Hollywood with book, music, and lyrics by John Verderber on Sept 20th and 21st at 8 PM at Ripley Grier performance space.

The Heeler family will be returning to Overture with the Bluey live show, Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show! The Emmy® Award-winning animated preschool series, which airs on Disney Junior, Disney Channel and Disney+, will be “taking the show on the road” to Overture on Tuesday, Sept. 24 and Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m.

After several sold-out shows at Birdland, crooning troubadour and nouveau vaudevillian Bryce Edwards returned to the historic stage with The Frivolity Hour on Monday, September 9. Once more, Bryce shared his brand of hot traditional jazz and early 20th century popular music. Check out photos here!

In its 26th year, the Grand Theatre High School Project proudly presents Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical, playing September 17 to 28 on the Spriet Stage. As the most applied-to High School Project in history, Matilda The Musical boasts 58 student participants who have spent the last two months working with seasoned theatre professionals to mount a professionally produced musical in the Grand Theatre's historic house.

Actors' Equity Association has announced that Equity's National Council has voted unanimously to endorse Angela Alsobrook's campaign for United States Senate on behalf of the more than 51,000 actors and stage managers working in live entertainment.
