In a career first, iconic and Grammy-winning rock band YES will perform three of their classic albums in their entirety, all in one concert, on a special tour in 2013: 1971's THE YES ALBUM, 1972's CLOSE TO THE EDGE and 1977's GOING FOR THE ONE. Music audiences will experience the albums, each representing an important milestone in YES' career, performed from beginning to end.

This week is the final opportunity this season to experience Alvin Ailey's masterpiece Revelations with live music - African American spirituals performed by soul-stirring vocalists - as well as with an expanded cast of 50 dancers on Saturday's family matinee! In addition to the opening of a new production of Ronald K. Brown's landmark Grace on Tuesday, December 11th, other upcoming performance highlights include 'All New' programs and the Company premiere of Artistic Director Robert Battle's Strange Humors.

The Odyssey Theatre continues its unique two evening festival of short plays performed completely in the dark ("DARK" and "MORE DARK") through December 16 as scheduled, combining the best of both evenings into a single performance ("BEYOND DARK - the 'Best of' Theatre in the Dark") for an additional 6 weeks, January 5 through February 9. With the audience and actors bathed in complete darkness, the imagination and senses are left to soar.

Boise Contemporary Theater's Children's Reading Series, BCT presents AIR HEART, written by BCT's Education Director Dwayne Blackaller. The play starts with a CRASH! And with that, Sonny and Kate tumble through the roof of an old farmhouse and into a dusty attic. Trapped. But when an old radio crackles to life with a distress call from halfway around the world and out of time, the kids find themselves embroiled in a high flying mystery with a legendary aviator named Amelia.

The Hudson River Mummers, led by Henry Chapin (New York Revels at Symphony Space), will take to the June Havoc Stage at Abingdon Theatre Company (312 West 22nd Street) on December 15 at 2pm. Admission is free. This 25-year old troupe performs all over the tri-state area, celebrating the shortest day of the year at the Winter Solstice and the rebirth of the New Year.

New York-based graphic design firm Project Projects is well-known for creating self-initiated curatorial and research projects. Project Projects: Test Fit was commissioned as part of an Art Institute of Chicago series in which architects and designers are invited to explore their own interests and instigate new thinking and practices within and beyond their professional disciplines.

Swing in that holiday spirit with the Capital City Men's Chorus, as they present their annual Holiday Concert: The Yule of Cool - A Concert of Holiday Jazz! The men of the CCMC will keep you from having a "Blue Christmas", by singing some of your holiday favorites, with a slightly jazzy twist! You will also be treated to some traditional holiday favorites, in that signature sound that the CCMC is famous for!

'Deceit' is a suspenseful and compelling play by Richard Ploetz that reveals how far some people are willing to take their lies to protect the fragile nature of 'being normal.' Theater for the New City will present the piece, directed by Andreas Robertz, January 10 to 27 in its Cino Theater.

The Wicked Young Writers' Award announced its winners for 2012 at a prestigious ceremony on 6th December at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, home of the award-winning musical Wicked. The ceremony was hosted by Louise Dearman, who stars as Elphaba, and prizes were presented by Michael Morpurgo, best-selling author of War Horse and Chair Judge of the Award.

As part of the eighth edition of the COIL festival, Performance Space 122 (PS122) and The Invisible Dog Art Center present the U.S. premiere of SACRE, from French choreographer David Wampach and his company Association Achles. Performed by Wampach and dancer Tamar Shelef, SACRE is a radical reimagining of Vaslav Nijinsky's The Rite of Spring. The duet attempts to maintain the earthy, wild dissonance of the 1913 original.

Segerstrom Center's International Dance Season continues February 8 - 10 with the return of Hamburg Ballet performing its hauntingly compelling production of The Little Mermaid. This sophisticated interpretation of the classic story delves into the deeper themes of conflicted love and loss. Neumeier's contemporary version of The Little Mermaid explores two divergent worlds: the serenity and simplicity of underwater life and the complex, often absurd, lives of humans.

Director Adam Isenberg received the Margaret Mead Filmmaker Award at the 2012 Margaret Mead Film Festival on Sunday, December 2, for his film A Life Without Words (Una Vida Sin Palabras), a story of two deaf siblings in rural Nicaragua living entirely without written, spoken, or signed language. Isenberg was selected from among 10 contenders by a jury that included Judith Helfand, Mohan Bonetti, Dan Cogan, and director and anthropologist Patricia Cardoso.

Singer-songwriter Celia Ramsay, will headline at the Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse with her all-star band in January 2013 to release her newest CD, I'll Just Lie About It. Celia's band includes local standouts Tony Marcus, Patrice Haan, Jeff Sanford and John Wiitala. The new album debuts Celia as a songwriter, and the album has a distinctly 1930's jazz sensibility. Some of her songs are pure Blues while others are a humorous 'Ella Fitzgerald meets Mark Graham' mix, creating an album that is nicely balanced between dark blue songs and upbeat, sometimes bawdy humor.

"An Evening with The Coterie", a night of thirteen musical theater and opera premieres, will be presented at the National Opera Center on December 15th at 7:30pm. The concert will feature soprano Lauren Worsham and lyrics by Royce Vavrek, co-founders of opera-theater company The Coterie, and two of the artists behind composer David T. Little's critically acclaimed opera "Dog Days", which premiered this September at Peak Performances @ Montclair.

Fans of the Elvis Presley will be excited to hear that Chris Luna and the TCB Flashband, are performing at The Grove Theatre on New Years' Eve at 9:00 pm. Chris Luna is one of Southern California's premiere Elvis Tribute artists and has been performing his Elvis Tribute Show (Chris Luna - A Tribute to ELVIS!) since 1998 with all the energy, passion and spirit of 'The King'.

The Beehive Statesmen Barbershop Chorus is presenting their annual Christmas show on Monday, December 10, 2012, at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center (1355 West 3100 South, WVC, UT). Doors will open at 6:30 P.M. and the show will begin at 7:00 P.M. The concert is free to the public.
