Ahead of the release of Old Things the band shared singles, “Wandering,” “Discount Casket,” and “Stranger,” which were featured on sites such as New Noise Magazine, All Punked Up, and more.

“This song to me encapsulates the feeling of meeting someone and falling in love. In it, I compare the girl to one of my favorite flowers, a cherry blossom, because they’re rare and beautiful,” explains Indii.

Today the band also premieres the vibrant “Those Words” video, which was directed, produced and edited by Brown herself. “We shot this in mid March so it’s very fresh and new energy for us - we are all just so excited to get out there and play shows again,” she says. 

The song, which features Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT, in addition to production flourishes by Patrick Wimberly (Chairlift), is a psychedelic folk cut that seeks to resolve the struggle and feelings of alienation he faced as a child with a disability.

The single is the first offering from Emmi’s forthcoming concept project Players - a collection of epic pop songs inspired by the characters of Shakespeare’s plays, but repurposed for our times. 

Other collaborators include David Ramirez (who produced the EP song “L.A. County”), and John Michael Landon (who produced “I Can’t Change” and “Alien”).
