Today’s release arrives as the next chapter in Genesis’ highly acclaimed debut album, Smiling With No Teeth. Recently, Genesis gifted audiences an in-depth look behind the LP within his Beat x Beat episode, made in collaboration with Beats by Dre.

The songs were recorded as part of a filmed session for French platform La Blogothèque, while the video for new song “Indigo” was filmed and edited by David Chalmin. 

The acoustic introduction builds until the band - drummer Zia Uddin and bassist/manager Tim Tournier - joins in on the second verse and rides out the rest of the track.

“’Never Coming Back’ is a song about coming to terms with the realities of your dreams,” the band shared about the single. “And the act of rebelling against the things you want, just as you get them.”

The Dublin duo Elgin is completed with Anthony Furey and the pair came together having travelled the breadth of the globe as the acclaimed collective The Young Folk and now with Weightless / Still they continue their musical journey under the name Elgin.

Mostly recorded at home, the album also features contributions from many other musicians including Jon Thorne on bass (Lamb), Tom Moth on harp (Florence and the Machine - and brother of NMA bassist Ceri Monger), plus string arrangements from composer friends Tobias Unterberg, Henning Nugel and Shir-Ran Yinon.

The single follows his jaw-dropping “2Pac Must Die,” in which Glasses’ tells the story of Tupac Shakur’s death from the perspective of Compton Crip gang member Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, whom many believe shot and killed Tupac.
