offers a free, one-night-only reading of TENNESSEE WILLIAMS' holiday themed PERIOD OF ADJUSTMENT on Wednesday, December 12, 7 pm, in its new
state-of-the-art Pasadena theatre. Directed by Deborah Strang and featuring A Noise Within resident artists, this rarely performed play about two couples on Christmas Eve is Williams' only comedy. The reading, for which reservations are recommended, is designed to compliment ANW's production of Charles Dickens' masterpiece A Christmas Carol, which plays in repertory from December 8 to 23, 2012.

This Off-Broadway limited engagement at Theater Three (311 West 43rd Street) began December 1st and has been extended to January 13th. The show runs 100 minutes without an intermission.
Animator Jim Batt Releases “I Have Your Heart” with Molly Crabapple & Kim BoekbinderDecember 4, 2012The short animation 'I Have Your Heart' is a collaboration between New York illustratorMolly Crabapple, international rockstar Kim Boekbinder, and animator Jim Batt (the director behind recent popular stopmotion music video 'Want It Back' for Amanda Palmer.) The film is the story of a good girl with a bad heart, and the boy whose death will save her life. Told through darkly whimsical stopmotion, the film was inspired by Kim Boekbinder's rollicking, accordion sing-a-long song about love, loss, and open-heart surgery - "The Organ Donor's March."

The Grand Wazoo and Other Delights Present A Tribute to Frank ZappaDecember 4, 2012On Saturday, Dec. 29th, at the Park West, 322 W. Armitage, Chicago, just days after Frank Zappa's 72nd birthday, the Chicago Jazz Orchestra (CJO) presents an adventurous tribute to this great American musical genius. The show, which begins at 7:30 p.m., will feature the 15-piece CJO along with saxophonist Ernie Watts, who was in Zappa's band for the original recording of The Grand Wazoo. Electric violinist Mark Wood (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) and electric bassist Dave Morgan, who created the arrangements for this show, are also featured. Conducting the performance will be CJO artistic director Jeff Lindberg.
