The Broadway community was a-buzz last week with chatter about President Obama attending Saturday's matinee of HAMILTON. While the attendance of POTUS gave the cast enough reason to celebrate, they also marked the end of their first week of performances with the help of Hennessy. Can you believe it's been almost 28 years since the original production of Into the Woods opened on Broadway? Seems like only yesterday my mother was dragging a 6-year-old me, literally kicking and screaming, from below the marquee of the Martin Beck Theatre (now the Al Hirschfeld) to the Winter Garden Theatre where Cats was playing. (I wanted desperately to see Into the Woods, but a family 'friend' told my parents that Cats would be more appropriate for my age group. Thanks for ruining my life, lady.) In the right light, you can still to this day see my claw marks scraped along 45th Street.

The Midtown Men, the vocal group comprised of four stars from the Original Broadway Cast of Jersey Boys, will soon make their long awaited New York City homecoming on June 20th, 2015 at New York's famed Beacon Theatre (2124 Broadway, NYC). Music icons Shirley Alston Reeves (The Shirelles) and Gene Cornish (The Rascals) will be special guest stars for the one night only concert, performing hits from the 1960s that made them legends. The duo joins the group, led by Tony Award-winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard, and Tony Award-nominee J. Robert Spencer, who after performing nearly 400 concerts across North America, will sing their celebrated arrangements of the greatest hits of the 1960s at the Beacon, their final show of this year's tour. The quartet recently sat down with BroadwayWorld to chat about the upcoming concert and to give us a special a cappella preview Check it out below!

THE 69TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS, aired live from Radio City Music Hall, last night Sunday, June 7 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. The Tonys are the most exciting thing ever to happen in life, and they are just weeks away! So, to celebrate Tonys season and to help get you pumped for the big day, I've comprised an official list of the Greatest Tony Awards Moments Ever, according to me (and therefore according to you, too.)

Earlier this month, The New York Pops marked its 32nd birthday with a grand gala evening celebrating the work of Music Honorees Kathleen Marshall and Rob Marshall and Corporate Honoree Carrie and Ted Pryor, Greenwich Harbor Partners. The event began with a concert at Carnegie Hall, featuring a spectacular lineup of guest artists under the baton of Music Director Steven Reineke. The performance highlighted the Marshalls' work on stage and screen. Queen Latifahjoined Broadway stars Laura Benanti, Alan Cumming, Sutton Foster, Victor Garber, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Bebe Neuwirth, Kelli O'Hara, Margo Seibert, James Snyder, and Rachel York. On June 7th, Broadway veterans Deborah Cox (Aida, Jekyll & Hyde) and Justin Guarini (Wicked, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) will host the seventh annual simulcast of the Tony Awards (presented by Clear Channel Spectacolor), live from Times Square. The free event, which is open to the public, will feature special guest appearances and live performances.
