Peter Huntley has a first class BA (Hons) in Theatre Studies from
University of Leeds and a MA in Performance (Musical Theatre) from
Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Peter is a member of Musical
Theatre Matters and passionate about the development of new musicals.
In 2006 Peter produced the hit Friday Singalongs for the Theatre
Museum and in March 2009 he produced the acclaimed, sell-out
production of Austentatious at the Landor. He has honorary membership
of the Sondheim Society; sits on the management board of
theatreVOICE.com; helped curate video content for Theatre &
Performance galleries at the V&A; and is one of 'The Audition Panel'
group of practitioners who answer questions about the industry on
broadwayworld.com. Peter directed the inaugural Sondheim Society Young
Performer of the Year Award at The Venue, Leicester Square.
As an actor Peter made his professional debut as Montgomery Larkin in
the national tour of The Darling Buds of May. Theatre includes; Jack
and the Beanstalk (Theatre Royal, York), A Celebration of Stephen
Sondheim (Powerhouse One, Wakefield) and Paul in Company (Judi Dench
Theatre).
Peter is currently working on transferring Austentatious, a new
musical revue, a series of musical theatre events for the V&A in 2010
and a new play for families.
