One of Broadway's most celebrated rock and rollers, Anthony Rapp (Broadway's If/Then; Six Degrees of Separation; Rent;You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown) brings his new Unplugged evening of stories and songs to 54 Below with musical director Dan Weiss. 

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) presented Women of Note, a one-night-only concert event celebrating the women writers who are changing the landscape of musical theatre. Women of Note took place at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd St.) on Monday, July 20 at 8:00 pm.

Rehearsals have begun at Curve, Leicester for multi award-winning choreographer and dancer Akram Khan's Until the Lions, his highly anticipated, brand-new full-length production. Premiering in the 360° setting of London's Roundhouse, the inspiration for the piece which Khan will choreograph and perform in is taken from the ancient Sanskrit epic The Mahabharata. Set to be one of his most startling and introspective works to date, the piece will run for 12 performances in London from 9 January 2016 before beginning an international tour and returning to co-commissioners Curve, Leicester.

The new Broadway musical, Amazing Grace, opened last week on Broadway and CBS News recently sat down to talk with the amazing man behind the musical , Christopher Smith. Smith went from being a small town cop to writing a full-blown Broadway musical. He attributes the success of the show and getting it to Broadway to 'belief.'

59E59 Theaters will welcome The Acting Company to the 2015/2016 5A Season with the US premiere of DESIRE An Evening of Plays Based on Six Stories by Tennessee Williams. Directed by Michael Wilson, DESIRE features new plays written by John Guare, Beth Henley, Marcus Gardley, Rebecca Gilman, David Grimm and Elizabeth Egloff. DESIRE begins performances on Wednesday, September 2 for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 11. Opening Night is Thursday, September 10 at 7 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7 PM; Friday at 8 PM; Saturday at 2 PM & 8 PM; Sunday at 3 PM. Single tickets are $70 ($49 for 59E59 Members). 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents David Josefsberg in "The Devil Inside" on August 3rd at 7pm.  The show is about "The Devil Inside" Mr. Josefsberg.  Most people know David as a sweet, innocent, wonderful, decent human being (yeah right) but David also has a dark side.  There will be some Jason Robert Brown, Stevie Wonder, and some Queen, but there will also be some filthy, hilarious, off-color material written by Josefsberg himself.

The stars of the current London revival of HIGH SOCIETY (playing at The Old Vic Theater) welcomed the original leading lady of the Broadway company, last night as Melissa Errico stopped by to show her support for the production.
