BWW Review: KASTA LA VISTA at Teatr PolskiJune 4, 2021Kasta La Vista is a comical spectacle but with a bitter aftertaste. French author Sébastien Thiery made sure that his text was absurd, funny but also scary and all this mixture makes the show so special.
BWW Review: ANNA KARENINA at Opera WroclawMay 28, 2021I had high expectations for this ballet, after all it is based on a Tolstoy novel and he was a real master of the word. I wondered how this could be staged without saying a word and without losing the essence of the story. Well, it is possible and you can see it at the Wrocław Opera House. Even though the plot is simpler, there are fewer characters and it is impossible to appreciate the words of Tolstoy, I liked it a lot.
BWW Review: DUSK-DAWN at Teatr PolskiMay 18, 2021There was a place like any other place. A city mixed with life, joy and sorrow, sunrises and sunsets, ordinary and extraordinary at the same time. The people, the time and the music - that's what you would see on stage.
BWW Review: A SANDWICH WITH A MAN at Teatr Nowy In Poznan, New edition of old(?).April 14, 2020Jacek Kaczmarski - this name is known as a symbol of protest. Great Polish songwriter and performer from 1977 till basically his death in 2004 was a figure of resistance through his words and music: Mury (Walls) based on L'Estaca by Lluis Llach was an anthem of freedom (despite the fact that it was deeply misunderstood: last verse says that a system will actually defeat the people) and was on lips of Solidarity's workers during upheaval in the 80s. A political icon has been undusted reviling his greatest pieces into life with new interpretation.
BWW Review: RUBY ANNIVERSARY at Teatr Komedia WroclawJanuary 20, 2020A couple with 41 years behind them is trying to adjust to the new, luxury reality but the problems are multiplying - from trying to enter the room to an unexpected guest who gets out from under the bed. Changing their romantic and push gateway to mix of confusions and funny situations.
BWW Review: THE QUEEN WILL ARRIVE TOMORROW at Teatr Wspolczesny WroclawDecember 18, 2019Beautiful island in the middle of the Ocean covers terrifying story. Small territory and only around 50 people leaving on it - they are descendants of rebels from a?oeBountya?? ship that came to the island in 18th century and they made for themselves a place to live with their own rules.
BWW Review: THE NUTCRACKER / A CHRISTMAS CAROL at Opera WROCLAWDecember 11, 2019When you were a kid (or it's still ongoing) you were dreaming about Christmas presents weeks before the winter. Can you imagine that you find not only one perfect present under your Christmas tree but suddenly two of them? This will happen if you will go to The Opera Wroclawska to see The Nutcracker / A Christmas Carol.
BWW Review: TRAVIATA at Opera WROCLAW - Feel The Breath Of The UniverseNovember 21, 2019Have you ever wandered why two cheesecakes based on one recipe are slightly different? Even tough you use the same flour, sugar and cheese the taste is not the same. Sometimes it's better, sometimes it's worse. But if you take great ingredients like Traviata, big budget, good voices, Grazyna Szapolowska as director it cannot be bad, correct? You are right! It cannot be!
BWW Review: TATUS (THE DADDY) at Teatr Polski Wroclaw - I want more!November 4, 2019Do you still remember how it was to opening an envelope with developed photos from an event that had happened long time before? It's the same when you go to see a play inspired by one of your favorite movies: you never know if it will be that good as you remembered.
You will be pleased or mad. I was mad. Because it was too short - Seb, please: I wanted more!
BWW Review: MAGNOLIA at Teatr Wspolczesny Wroclaw, Frog Rain of EmotionsAugust 9, 2019It isn't easy to write about contemporary art - it's more symbolic, more intense, morea?? unsaid that classic one. The same show can be a Masterpiece for some, for others an utterance of foreign language - they will just open their eyes, hold a breath but don't understand a thing. For me Magolia was strangely both.

BWW Review: I CANNOT GET MARRIED at TEATR POLSKI WROCLAW - I cannot stop laughing!May 22, 2019Moliere said that the duty of comedy is to correct men by amusing them. And this is exactly what happens in Teatr Polski during play I Cannot Get Married. It's a funny time worth to spend in a theatre and maybe get some lesson from it. You will experience some celebrities facing cameras, trying say something valuable (not easy thing to do if there is nothing to say).
