The reign of House Targaryen begins. House of the Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones, is coming to HBO and HBO Max on August 21. Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, which is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen.

Brooklyn’s Zannie Owens conceived of their debut solo record, How Do I Get That Star, as an homage to Voyager One Golden Record, the album that Carl Sagan and Lynn Margulis sent into space in 1977. It’s zannie’s debut record under their own name, as well as the first release with Kill Rock Stars.

The Comeback Trail, a love letter to the Golden Age of Hollywood, starring Robert De Niro, Tommy Lee Jones, Zach Braff, Emile Hirsch, Eddie Griffin and Morgan Freeman and was co-written by Josh Posner and the film’s director George Gallo (Bad Boys, Midnight Run, Vanquish). The film has been released internationally and a US release date is coming.

Emerging country and folk-rock artist Abby Hamilton releases a new live version of her song, “Big Time.' Cleveland-based powerhouse Chayla Hope has unveiled “High,” the latest single from the vinyl-presser-turned-pop-star’s debut record Damn, Feelings. For the release of “High,” Hope has partnered with Shway Papers to create Chayla Hope-branded rolling papers. “High” follows the release of “Love In Lo-Fi,” “Falling,” and “Forget me Not.'

Fans of Las Vegas natives The Higher no longer have to wait in anticipation to catch their favorite band on the road again. After releasing their debut single “Free Ride” in support of their upcoming EP Elvis in Wonderland this past Friday, the pop-rock four piece is pairing the celebration with a nine date coast-to-coast tour in November of 2022. 

The pair created the song for the film Three Thousand Years of Longing, which was directed by George Miller (Mad Max: Fury Road) and stars Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton. Bocelli makes his motion picture debut in the film, playing Prince Mustafa. Holkenborg composed the score for Three Thousand Years of Longing.
