The album features contributions from serpentwithfeet; Björk’s son, Sindri, and daughter, Ísadóra; clarinet sextet Murmuri; The Hamrahlíð Choir; Emilie Nicolas; Kasimyn of Gabber Modus Operandi; sideproject; El Guincho; many of Björk’s Icelandic acoustic musical collaborators; and bass clarinets, strings, trombones and more.

“Blame The Brakes” marks Hastings’ second single of 2022. In June, he released the addictive track “Hurt My Feelings” alongside an official visualizer. Earlier this month, Hastings surprised fans with a feature on the track “Killing Me” on Swedish duo NOTD’s new NOTED…EP. “Killing Me” is available to stream and download now.

Produced by GRAMMY Award-winning and fellow Compton-native producer Sounwave – who has worked with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Chloe x Halle and Beyonce – Angels & Queens will also be unveiled in two parts, with the second instalment arriving early next year.

Los Angeles band MILLY release their highly anticipated debut album Eternal Ring, set for release via cult indie label Dangerbird Records (Grandaddy, Swervedriver). Produced in LA with Gleemer’s Corey Coffman, Eternal Ring is kinetic, physical, and often a little bit volatile — a mixture of emo music and 90s-indebted indie.

The Philadelphia-based artist Shannen Moser released their third studio album The Sun Still Seems To Move via Lame-O Records. Moser will celebrate the album’s release with shows tonight in Philadelphia at Johnny Brenda’s and on October 7 in Brooklyn, NY at Purgatory with support from Greg Mendez & Yours Are The Only Ears.

New Orleans-based singer-songwriter Julie Odell has released her debut album Autumn Eve via tastemaker label Frenchkiss Records (Local Natives, Passion Pit, The Drums). The new album includes the previously released singles, “Get My Things & Go,” a swampy, bluesy rock 'n roll blast to the face which peaked at #3 on Canadian rock radio charts, and “Golden Woman,” a fast-paced, unrelenting jam that marked the first track off the album and peaked at #6 on the iTunes Rock chart.

Taylor is to release a live album recorded during his hugely successful October 2021 Outsider UK tour which saw the Queen founding member perform a series of shows: “my modesty tour, I just want it to be lots of fun, very good musically”, said Taylor at the time of announcing his first live performances outside of Queen in over twenty years.

Baldridge wrote the songs of “Country Born” alongside songwriters including Trannie Anderson, Paul Sikes, Kyle Schlienger, Josh London, and Andy Sheridan among others. The tracks were produced by a plethora of producers: Nick Schwarz, Andy Sheridan, Paul Sikes, Seth Mosley, Kyle Shlienger, and Chris DeStefano.

Over twenty new songs were written, and eventually, award-winning producer Derek Hoffman (Arkells, Tim Hicks, Donovan Woods) was brought on board to help record the best of these songs, including lead singles “Save Your Lonely,” “Stronger Than You Know,” and “I Saw Your Ghost,” into what would be House of Dreams.

Alongside the announcement, Kay has also released his new single “Fountain Ave,” a wistful track that accentuates his delicately airy vocals over a dreamy soundscape of soft drums and guitar-strumming. The track speaks to finding hope during the most vulnerable moments, a common theme explored throughout the forthcoming project.

The set also includes ‘Upper’ for the first time ever on vinyl, as well as ‘Older’ and ‘Upper’ on CD. Presented in a rigid double slipcase, this package contains 5 CDs and 3 LPs. Also included is a 12” x 12” 48-page book, The Story of Older, featuring a brand-new essay by Dan Davies recounting the stories behind the album.
